Dr. Scott Lathrop
WMS Consulting LLC was established by Randy Williams in 2003 in response to demand for business development support. Randy also specializes in aftermarket business development via The Foremost Market, a tradename of WMS Consulting.
Prior to forming WMS, Randy was employed by United Technologies/Carrier for thirteen years and Goulds Pumps for six. His positions include Director Strategic Planning & Business Development; Vice President & GM - Replacement Components; Vice President - Asia Pacific; and European Controller. Randy gained significant international experience through positions based in Singapore, France and Canada.
A summa-cum-laude graduate of Ithaca College, Randy became CPA at a big-four accounting firm. He attended Harvard Business School's Program for Management Development and is Co-President of the Harvard Business School Club of Syracuse NY. Randy serves on three boards.

Dr. Lathrop brings over 20 years of experience in branding, consulting, and market research. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in marketing strategy, new product development, and management decision making at Syracuse University's Whitman School of Management. Scott has collaborated with WMS on projects since 2007.
Scott previously served as Managing Consultant at Integral, Inc., a strategic marketing consulting firm in Boston, where he managed teams of consultants on new product development projects. He was a Senior Manager at Luminant Worldwide, an e-commerce consulting firm in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Lathrop is a former Harvard Business School professor. He also served on the faculty of the International School of Management in Paris, and Cornell University. Scott earned his M.B.A., M.S. and Ph.D. in Marketing and Cognitive Studies at Cornell University.
